March 24th
"If we build it, they will come."

So the new windows were installed last week in the room that we hope will become the nursery.  Here are the before and after pictures.  Mike will be finishing the room from here.  New electric, new walls, new doors - it will be the nicest room in the house!  :-)

 



March 10th
The windows for the nursery go in next week!  I am so psyched.  We bought them the end of last year but couldn't get them in before it got cold.  The Spring weather is coming so next week it is.  The house will be a disaster area but they should look great in just a few days.  Mike worked on stripping the outside wall getting ready for the windows.  The plan is all new sheetrock and moulding.  But first we need to get the windows in.  I finished painting the bassinett this weekend and it came out beautiful.  Its been a labor of love for me.  My Mom bought the new mattress and sheets and the fit perfect.




March 1st
I think snowmobiling season may finally be over (sorry Mike.)  Its Spring and we are already talking about some new home projects.
First on the list, are new windows for the nursery.  We have to wait till it warms up just a tad but then we can really focus on that room.  Its going to be a beach theme and we already have all the bedding.  I've been buying it piece by piece and it should be really fun when its done.  I want to paint a  mural with sand and ocean all around and big white puffy clouds with blue sky on the ceiling.
Next on the list is a total bathroom renovation.  Good thing we have 2 bathrooms in this house because Mike says it will take a month of weekends.  Of course, we wil be doing it ourselves and Mike is psyched to tear it up.
The french doors going out to the new deck will really open up the dining room.  Lets see if we can that done this year.  We will  have to work fast before air chairing season starts.  LOL.
